Real muscle gain and fast weight loss depend on good weightlifting programs. Throwing around some weights in the gym without any plan will not bring great body building results. Weightlifting programs tailored for individual goals are the ideal way to work the body into a perfect shape. Training, rest and diet are the three factors that define the success formula for any routine. In fact, no significant muscle gain can be achieved if one of these elements is not well covered in terms of practice. There is a purpose in all the hard work at the gym, let's see what you can do to make it fruitful.
Special types of exercises are normally dedicated to every muscle group in a combination of strategies that define weightlifting programs in general. It is a mistake to train the full body all the time. The effort can be supported if you eat properly and you get all the nutrients from your meals. The truth is that for full commitment to successful weightlifting programs, one has to read a lot and learn about diet, hormones, life style, train and rest cycles and lots of other subjects related to bodybuilding.
Should I get custom fit golf clubs and where should I go to get fitted.?
I am 6'5" and about 235 pounds. I swing very hard and hit the ball a decent length (without very much accuracy). I am more of a baseball player actually. Anyways, I know I need stiff shafts, but what I do not know about is length of the clubs, lie angle, etc. I am about a 9 handicap, average drive 290, 5 iron 190, pw 150. Any guidance on where to go to get fitted, how much it costs etc would be great. Golf Galaxy would be my first guess, but I have no Idea. Thanks for any help.
Getting fitted is always, ALWAYS, a great idea. This way you get a set that is YOUR set and standing over the ball with a club that's made specifically for you will certainly inspire confidence. Your handicap would lead me to believe that you certainly have a repeatable swing as well. As far as where to go, I did a driver fitting @ GG and the experience was great. It was $30 and took about 45 mins just for the driver. Just to be safe and to make sure you get some good attention with an experienced person who can properly fit you, it may be a good idea to call ahead & make an appointment as I'm assuming you're talking about an iron set here, as it will probably take around 2 hrs for your session. In addition every golfer's physical capability and swing is idiosyncratic. Many of today's top golf clubs can be custom fit for lie angle, shaft type and length, grip type and size. Custom fitting golf clubs involves assorted easy measurements and a fast self-assessment of your game. This custom golf club has become more than a fad that even not so professional golfers probe its waters.

Custom fitting is the means for tailoring a golf club to customize your personal swing.
Whatever your level, with a custom golf club the aim is to guarantee that if you do make a good swing, the club will be square at impact and should produce a straight shot.
Custom Golf Club How To's:
To custom fit your golf clubs, you want to know: your gender (male or female); your height in your stockings or socks; the distance from your wrist (where it bends) to the floor with your shoes off; your age; your handicap or skill level; how fast you swing a golf club; what club you use at the 150 yard marker.
Gender is used to put you into the correct fitting scale for custom golf clubs. The golf industry uses varying definitions of "standard length" for men and women.
Your height and the distance in inches from your wrist to the floor are used together to determine the length of a custom golf club that is suitable for you. The starting point for club length can vary up to 3 '-inch ranging from ladies to men plus 1 '-inch. A tall person with long arms can very easily require shorter clubs than an average height person with short arms. About 80 percent of golfers are standard length.
Your age, handicap (if you happen to have one), self-assessed skill level, rough golf swing speed and club you use at the 150 yard marker are all combined to establish the custom golf club's shaft flex that is appropriate for you.
Custom fitting can fix your slice. If you slice the ball it means that the toe of the club is leading into the ball which opens the face of the club. That may be down to a swing fault, but it could be because the club is too flat. So as part of the custom fitting procedure you can make the custom golf club more upright to help with this. This will mean that the toe of the club will be slightly off the ground at address to remedy.
There are alternate methods of fitting according to custom golf club manufacturers but ultimately they are all laboring to better your game. To begin with simple measurements such as wrist-to-floor, height and hand size are taken and will point you to the right size club and at what angle it should be to the ground. Then you will take a club and hit some balls. One method is to place impact tape on the bottom of the custom golf club and an impact board on the floor.
As you hit the ball the board will leave a mark on the tape showing whether the heel or the toe of the custom golf club is striking the floor first. The resulting mark will show whether the club face needs to be flatter or more upright. Then things get a bit more pioneering. Analysis equipment can measure everything from your club speed to the side spin of the ball so that you can get maximum distance from your shot. You can also measure the launch angle of the ball, how much backspin you generate and impact efficiency - all which affect distance. The angle in which the custom golf club approaches the ball and the sidespin of it can help fix your game too.
Rather than bringing down your old clubs, it might be better to start from scratch. It's a big fallacy that custom fitting is only for good golfers. Anyone can benefit. That said, if you hope to upgrade a new set of clubs with the same manufacturer they may be able to adjust your old set to become custom golf clubs.
Custom fitting won't remedy all your bad shots. Coaching will sort that out. But if you do make a good swing, then the custom golf club will arrive properly at impact and should produce a straight shot at your target. That alone will save shots during a round.
Lastly, custom fitting is often free of charge. But it is usually on the condition that you buy some clubs once you've been fitted. So it surely depends on what your budget is. If you're ready to buy a new set of clubs it's positively worth getting fitted.

How tall should golf clubs and irons be?
I have these various sizes of drivers and old irons I bought in garage sales. I know that each club has it's own length, BUT each and every iron has to fit for each player. I'm 5"7. Any tips?? How long should each be? to my waist or my chest?

Well, since every club is supposed to be different length (taller for the lower lofter clubs such as the 3-iron and shorter for the higher lofted clubs such as the PW) so there is no general area where they should reach. With the rise in popularity of other clubs in recent years, some people feel that the driving iron golf clubs are a thing of the past. I am not so sure, so let's take a look at the ideas.
First, what is a driving iron, and how does it work?
Well, a driving iron is a club which is basically derived from the 1 iron, but it is designed to be used off the tee.
The reason for the use of this club is that a lot of players get intimidated when they hold the longer shaft of a driver at the tee, and also feel they need to hit the ball harder to get distance. That is a basic golfing error. An attempt to hit harder will only produce less control and consistency in the swing, which coupled with the extra length of the driver's shaft, results in ineffective drives.
As a result of this, some people would use their 1 iron instead of a driver, feeling they had better control of the swing with the shorter club shaft. However, a 1 iron is not ideally designed to drive off from the tee, so the driving iron comes into play instead.
The difference between the driving iron and the 1 iron is that the head of the driving iron is thicker and more solid. This gives extra power to the club head as it strikes the ball, while maintaining the feel of the 1 iron.
The reason that this club has begun to be less popular in recent years is due to the evolution of the hybrid club. A hybrid club is effectively a combination of two clubs, but it does not have the one noticeable disadvantage of the driving iron. Because the driving iron has such a flat face, it produces little backspin or loft, so if you want to get a high trajectory off the tee, the driving iron has its limitations.
This why, with only limited space in the bag, the hybrid club has come into favor, as it offers a greater variety of shot potential. Many players have replaced the driving iron with a hybrid club.
However, in some situations the extra weight of the driving iron can give it advantages over a hybrid club. Where you want a long, low shot, you may find that a driving iron gives you more distance. Try for yourself to see if it brings benefits to the drive off any of the tees at your favorite course.
Although they may have waned in popularity, driving irons still have a place in the game of many players. If you have space in your golf bag, it can be worth adding a driving iron golf club for certain shots.
